Hilton Hotel at Hyde Park

Here it's very cold and grey ... let's put some colors and talk about CAKES!

Last December when my brother in law and his wife came to visit us here in London, I bought at Groupon a Afternoon tea for four of us at one of the Hilton's Hotel, around the Hyde Park.

I booked a table for around 3pm and our names were in a list on the cafe's door. After we set down very cozy and warm, the waitress offer us - included at the price - a bottle of Prosecco. She was very kind and friendly, taking picture of us :)

Then we order our hot drinks, as latte, white americano and hot chocolotes. When we were ready, they brought the food.

The traditional afternoon tea is served in a three tier plate but this time, they recreated and served as picnic table.. adorable!

The little table came with food for two, so both sides had the same goodies.

We has sandwiches with eggs, smoked salmon, cucumber and ham. The scones, one plain and other cut in half with cream and jam - also a small pot of extra jam and a cup with cream topped with some berries. For the sweets, a macaron which was different for everybody and a choux filled with cream and covered with chocolate.

The sandwiches were very nice as they did the traditional flavors. Also the scones were veeery good, freshly baked. So as the macaron, that for me, is always good. Mine was strawberry, but we also received coffee flavor and salted caramel. My least favorite was the choux. Despite I love choux, this one I didn't because was filled with whipped cream, which for me is never good.

Overall, we loved! The service was good, the food was nice, we enjoyed the company of each other in a new place and during a visit from family.

If bought in a site as a Goupon, I recommended, otherwise I think is too expensive.
