Hello guys!

How are you? It's already October! I can't believe how fast this year passed... When we moved to London, a couple of years ago, one of the first places we have been was Greenwich - Cutty Sark region. And is still one of my favorites place in London. It's like a small village with shops, markets, museum and lots of people! One of the best shops around is Peyton & Byrne, a artisan bakery, with the kitchen located in Bermondsey, selling fresh baked cakes, breads, muffins, and good coffee!

We have been there twice so there is two different meals - and pictures :)

Peyton & Byrne's staff are really friendly, even at the busy moments.

They sell salads, sandwiches, breads and some savories pies.

Cakes..

... and cakes..

... and more cakes!! Isn't this the HEAVEN??!!

Ok, time to choose some cakes in this massive selection!

Day 1:

At this day we were cycling and sometimes we like to go simple. Two caffès latte, one very traditional fruit scone and one slice of apple tart. Everything delicious, perfect! Not very sweet, just enough. The scone was fresh and crumbly and the apple tart very tasty.

Day 2:

Other days we feel like need to try everything!

Two caffès latte - no draw on the top -, one mini and traditional English carrot cake, one lemon cake, one chocolate and nuts cookie and one lavender buttercream biscuit.

If you are from Brazil, like me, your knowledge about carrot cake is totally different from the Britain. But I tell you what, I LOVE British carrot cake! So tasty, a real flavor combination, delicious! The lemon cake and the cookie were also very nice. I'm just not sure about the lavender biscuit. It's still a weird combination for me, not use to. Any of you guys have tried or made lavender flavor cake?

The bakery has many amazing products. Make sure you add this at you list and enjoyed all the good selection!

Thanks guys, see you soon.
