Hello everyone!!

I can't believe is already September!!

Continuing the previous post....

The second and last part of our trip to Italy continuous when we left Naples, by ferry, to Capri Island.

Capri is a place that seems be stopped in time. Everybody knows each other, the island has very small roads, just small buses and cars go in there, no sidewalk - people walk in the street... seems strange but is amazing! The best beach in my opinion is Marina Piccola but all the Island is just breathtaking!

There is lots of restaurants, gelatos places and a few bakeries. In Anacapri there is a lane where we found a few restaurants, and a very good, amazing, fresh baked Sfogliatella. Yes, I was obsessed for this pastry!!!

We spend two amazing, hot, beautiful days in Capri. Next stop was Rome!

Ai ai, Rome.. the city is beautiful with huge monuments around, there is the Vatican city full of marble just near by our hotel, gelatos and pizzas everywhere!

Our hotel was actually a guest house in a very old, beautiful and historic building, 30 min walking from all the famous touristic points. We just walked everywhere, for us, no buses needed. Recommend the place, calls Xenia Guest house.

First day we went to Vatican and visit everything, from Sistine chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, museums... Is just huge, rich, full of details... very pretty. For dinner? PIZZA :)

Second and last full day, we visit the Colosseum with a guide tour, Palatine hill, Fontana de Trevi and Pantheon. At night, time for a nice pastry with coffee.

The same friend who told me about the Fiorentina meat in Pisa, told me about this pastry shop in Rome, call Pompi, known for the best Tiramisu in Rome!

The place have a take away option or you can have a seat and order at the table. They have many Tiramisu flavors like classic, strawberry and banana. But they also do savories, gelatos, cakes and pastries - include Cannoli and Sfogliatelle.

We order a ham and cheese sandwich, two lattes, one classic tiramisu, one Cannolo (half classic and half pistachio) and of course, one Sfogliatella :P

The Tiramisu was a classic, with chocolate, mascarpone cheese and coffee. The little Cannolo was filled with the traditional ricotta cream in one side and add pistachio in the other. The Sfogliatella was also filled with the traditional ricotta cream.

I think my coffee taste is not the best because for me, is always not hot enough. The Tiramisu was good, but the place is known for selling the best ones, so was a little bit under our expectations. The Cannolo was very good, crispy outside and creamy inside, like the Sfogliatella, SO tasty! I just loved Italian food!

I hope you guys enjoyed as much as we did.

Any suggestions, please leave a comment below.

Thanks!

Kisses and cakes!
