Once upon a time there was my favorite bakery in London! Karaway is a Ukrainian/Russian bakery with the kitchen located in Barking, East London. They used to have a store at Westfield Stratford but now they are just selling the products at Borough market and home delivery.
If you never tried the Vatruska from Karaway you don't know what is be in heaven eating a pastry!!!
Their focus are breads and they have a huge variety: seeds, wholemeal, plain, black, with nuts...
They also do savories like puff pastry with bacon and mushroom or ham, cheese and egg and some other flavors.
Of course, they do sweets as well, which are my favorites :) They have flavors like poppy seed, cream cheese and blueberry, cream cheese and peach, coconut, hazelnut, apple and cinnamon and others. In all MANY times that I have been there, I already tried all of them and the cream cheese and blueberry is my favorite!!
As we don't like to eat too much we choose from these amazing counter: Two lattes, two puff pastries savories with mushroom, two cream cheese and blueberry vatruska and one coconut and white chocolate brioche! Do I need to say that was amazing? I just love their products!!
They soon gonna find another place to re-open the coffee shop, but for now we can enjoy the products at Borough Market. I hope you guys love just like I do.
