Hi everyone! Last 1st of may we enjoyed our bank holiday in Cardiff, Wales. The city is small and doesn't have so many turisric points but the gastronomic side is quite nice. I could't miss the chance to visit a very nice patisserie shop as Cocorico and I was really pleased to be there.

The shop is located outside of the city center, so we took a bus to get there. The decoration is very clean, the counter is big, clean, nice and all made with glass what makes very easy to get crazy with all the amazing cakes!

The people are very findly, even the Chef's, which you can see work at the side. Local and tourist people love the place.

After a long time choosing between tarts, eclais, cakes or chocolate bonbons we made our decision!!

Ah, by the way, the chocolate bonbons are made there having to start just the base and the criation part is on the chef!

First choice was a spicy macaroon with orange and ginger which reminded me of Christmas cookies taste. Also a small tart filled with cream, raspberry, salted caramel and a vanilla mousse dome. Was really good but for me in particular I would choose or salted caramel or raspberry. All together was a bit too much information. Beautiful anyway!

We could not miss a nice latte to taste a gorgeous Opera cake slice. To be honest I've never eaten before an Opera cake but knew very well and the flavors were good!! Coffee, sponge cake and chocolate... certain combination!

With so many options, I tried one more! A mousse filled with blackcurrant and biscuit on the botton. Was delicious, the blackcurrant flavour was perfect!!!

I definitely recomend Cocorico Patisserie! All perfect cakes, chocolates, macaroon and they also do in the morning pastries like croissants and brioches... amazing!!!

Please, feel free to leave coments for me, suggestions about places or just coments about the post :)

Kisses and cakes!
