A French Pâtisserie, in Marylebone, London. La Pâtisserie Des Rêves has many units all over the world. A friend told me that this patisserie has a shop in London and since then I always had the will to visit and taste a real french pastry, so a couple of Sundays ago, I did it. The shop is located close to the Madame Tussaud's museum, in Central London but it isn't such a busy area. As we got closer, I started thinking about what kind of french pastries they make. When I got inside of the shop I could see that the counter was really special and different for all I have seen. It was right in the middle of the shop, with covers that reminded me of chandeliers and a looked a bit futuristic. There you can find cakes, eclairs, choux and other french stars. Close to the wall, on the shelfs, there are croissants, biscuits, sweet treats and gifts.
A lot of french people frequent the shop as some of the staff speaks french.
By the way, the staff was really friendly, leave us very confortable to take pictures, we even had a little chat, which is rare in London. Normaly the staff from other places just mind their own business.
We didn't know what to choose between a wounderful selection of pastries. As usual, we got a caffee latte, which was nice and hot; a little bit more milk than normally British people are use to drink, but it was the way that I like. The only thing I did not like was that they only offer "take away" cups and cutlery and is something they could easily improve. To eat, I had a delicius flan tart, which is a sweet pastry filled with vanilla pastry cream and an AMAZING Saint Honoré, made of a layer of puff pastry, two small eclairs on top filled with pastry cream, mini choux also filled with pastry cream and top with caramel and a genorous layer of white crem: WOW!. Seriously, it was amazing. The price is more expensive when you compare to other pastry shops but it is worth it. I have been to a LOT of bakeries and coffee shops, and I can say that Des Rêves is a really elegant and delicious one. I can even give them an extra score: their book "La Pâtisserie Des Rêves" is there for anybody to enjoy during a perfect coffee time! If you have been there, tell me which pastry you chose and what did you think in the comments bellow. :)

Kisses and cakes!
